Blunt...heres what he wrote about fasteners and their weight
"Go take off one of your fenders and weigh the screws... you have to cut the captured nut off to weigh it but...
Then go weigh enough av skin rivets to put it back together... The devil really is in the details... "
and then when asked to take a pic of said rivets he says this
"

Well...
I can't Blunt...
Because I spot welded them on this one instead.
These examples ie rivets replacing screws are generalities...
There are dozens of ways to actualize results...

To attach a small aluminum plate, which itself had a nut plate riveted to it, to the core support so that I could bolt up my new electric cooling fan brackets.
I guess by going solely with an electric fan, I am saving weight, so I guess I am coming out ahead after all. Watch your ass, the lightest R3v e30 with aircraft rivets title will soon be mine.:pLeave a comment:

heres what he wrote about fasteners and their weightWhy isn't there any pics to back up your weight reduction modifications? That would really stop a lot of this shit (at least from me). Take a couple shots of the wiring harnesses throughout the car, the hardware, the subframe, etc...
You can't just throw out shit that's nearly impossible/never done before/ridiculous and expect everyone to just believe you, and not question it at all.
And quit dodging posts with specific questions. That makes it even worse.
