Oh no elitist track-whores and stance judges!!

I'd say Mike's car is pretty even.. My e34 has roughly the same amount of tuck F/R and it's too "raked" IMO

    Wait a sec,
By your logic, this car is lowered wrong then?
Who in the heck are you to gauge aesthetics? You are being crass for no reason at all. Any car that is lowered more than an inch and a half will look like that. I could probably search through this site and find hundreds of cars with rear wheel tuck, race and street. What do you say to them?

So let me get this right, if my son and I "tear off his bumper strips", bust out his "sidemarkers", knock a few "dents" in ths side of his e28, and then throw on some wheels worth more than the car he will then be "unique" and we will get "it"?

    Sweet . . .

Seriously? So every driver in every pro series is a woman? When I have an event I drop my car off. The shop checks it over, replaces parts, bleeds brakes, installs pads(that come from a sponsor) and I go have fun. How does that make me a woman? My radiator neck broke off at an event... I went into my tow rig grabbed a fresh radiator(oh yah it was free) and installed it. I know how and can work on my own rig.

Your seriously going to bullshit me Charlie and tell me if a shop would do all your track prep and maintenance for free you would tell them "I am not a woman, no thanks".

Shit man, I dropped my car off at the shop for an open house and when I came the next morning the owner said he put a new intake boot on. The old one was cracked and it looked bad with the hood popped when customers were walking around.

Crazy thing... Don't race yet. I run HPDE's and instruct at local events. The car is built for NASA GTS3 and BMWCCA IP. It is a matter of having the time to put into the racing. I hope to gather more sponsors when I am actually racing ;) Having a shop name on the side of my car and how often it is seen though has helped the shop. Even if it is just an 'HPDE' car.

Who cares if that's how the car was designed. Lots of cars have the plight of the low rear fender. If you have coilovers you can balance that nonsense out.

I have to agree the "Fender gap" doesn't match but thats how the car was designed and it still looks sick. Thats why I'm glad i have early arches.

Yah it sucks when entry fees are paid for, I get free brakes and more free parts. Haven't paid for labor on the M3 in over a year.

That's the same shit I hear about every car I post on our local euro forum from all the VW guys.

I don't know how their concept of the term "rake" got so backwards, but they think it applies to fender gap. And apparently, reverse rake is when there's more gap in the front than in the rear. And if your car isn't so low that your front tires can barely turn, it's not lowered. At least that's what I keep getting told.

Rake is the relation of the angle of the car to the flat plane of the ground. When it started to mean how much fender gap there is, I have no idea.
