Here is mine. Built 10/87. Its been on 3 continents, in 4 different countries, and only has 73000 miles on it.
Mostly stock, but I've just installed a set of TC-Klein externally adjustable Koni sport struts and shocks, a set of rear mono-ball upper shock mounts, as well as Ground Control camber/caster plates up front finishing it off with a set of Treehouse racing control arm bushings.

should do a thread hey?
Sorry to threadjack....
Preamble....i have wanted a 325is since i was in grade 1 when they were about. A teacher at my school had a 1989 in 1989 and i thought it was cool.
I wanted this car, from the 1989 catalog i kept as a kid

so i went and found one and purchased this 2 owner car in 2008

started to do 'things' to it.
Basic specs
- 1989 325is
- s50b30 euro
-- effectively rebuilt (85% new bits)
-- dtm carbon air plenum
-- big earl's oil cooler
-- h&h alpha n tune
-- a fair whack of vac motorsports bits
-- ocd modified oem euro headers (40 hours labour) and twin 2.25 system by meridian motorsport
- g260 w/ custom boxed in trans mount
- just about every solid product akg make including dtm shifter
- ast 4210 coilovers
- z3 steering rack w/ custom lines
- custom swaybars & mounts. M3 front pickup point
- mz3 diff, extra lock up, 3.91, mz3 finned diff cover
- reinforced here and there. New tailshaft etc
- massive brakes. Front sl6r, rear sl4r calipers. 300x32mm floating discs front and rear. Custom air ducts for cooling.
- treehouse lollypops & swap adapter (well made)
- recaro sportster cs and profi spa seats. Sabelt harnesses. Harness bar by meridian motorsport.
- stack pro control gauges
- lots and lots of stuff replaced with new bits. "the chassis is original"
- 1/2 gallon surge tank w/ bosch 044, magnafuel filter, teflon aeroquip hose etc
- forgeline ga3 custom wheels. 17x7.5 et22. 4x100. Continental extreme contact dw. Street wheels.
- o.z alleggrita hlt track wheels. 16x7. Yoko a048 225/45/16
- hidden in the secret bat cave w/ a million security features
minor fuelling issue at the moment, little bit rich down low. Runs like a champ from 5000-8500rpm however. Should have this ironed out by weeks end.
It's fun to drive. :)
meridian motorsport are awesomely good. They are true fabricators, not just welders

exhaust has a few unique features. The rear section is solidly mounted to the chassis rails via a nice saddle brace and flexes via flex joints. This stops the exhaust wobbling about on fast corners etc.

front section mounts to trans mount and a little further back on rubber to facilitate some movement. Moot point now as engine is on solid alloy mounts.

the threadjack is over
mods please end this thread.

That exhaust is pornography. As is the engine bay. I've never been more glad that I did my valve cover in wrinkle red.Leave a comment:
