Were your bumpers tucked? I only ask becuase I'm wondering since my bumpers are tucked in an accident would this get the rear ender out of it? Or would I still get full payment?
In my old e28 I used to have with the diving boards, I was rear ended 3 times (which was probably very similar circumstances to this). No damage what-so-ever!! So, your answer is, with tucked bumpers, you are totally losing the ability of your bumpers to be bumped! If that makes any sense.

Damn T, That sucks so bad. I have a salvage tittle on my vert but it was a valance, bumper and hood. It did not have any frame damage nor was the ABS equipment damaged. Good luck bro.

I agree, best advice so far for sure. Almost exactly the same advice my current metal working/body shop/lab, whatever, teacher I have. I'm taking classes to get more of an idea what to do for my 2002 and get more practice on small projects on a friends' 02.

Speaking of which....how do you shop for the best insurance company? Here's one from him too. Go ask your local bodyshop. They deal with them on a day in day out basis. They know which ones are most reasonable to pay properly for a correct repair, and which ones are usually just a big pain in the ass to deal with.

when my 240sx got hit, the insurance company paid me out a total loss for it....they also let me keep the car with a salvage title. i ended up taking the cash, selling the wrecked 240, and buying a 58 nomad with it!

as long as everything else is still straight, you should be able to take care of those dents with a body hammer and dolly
