thanks. yea, a 13B would be better, but I couldn't beat the nearly running 12A with a trans and many extra parts for $250. I think I'm just going to stick with the 12A on this car, rebuild it this winter and street port it while I'm at it, and then just keep the car till I'm tired of it and do some mods here and there along the way.

more pics of some progress coming soon.. minor progress though.

yea, I've always wanted and FC or some kind of RX, and now I kind of have one, in a different package with 4 seats though. I also know a couple people who have had FC's and they couldn't have loved them more.

thanks T Verdier, what's the costco comment about though?

    thanks dudes.

I'll also keep that white one in mind for things. I may want it's back seat. I'm going to get mk2 jetta seats for free, so I'm going to run those. if I can get the back seat out of it, I'm going to try and run it. oh, and I'd possibly be interested in the carpet, door panels, and rear side interior panels.

Love e21's man, wish more people would do badass stuff like that with them. Keep it up :)

Oh, and there's a white 320is in a yard near me with almost no rust, if you are interested in anything off of it. seats, wheels, steering wheel, and front valence are already sold though.

thanks dudes, it is a blast to drive, and it is strictly a budget project. trying to do everything as cheaply as possible while still making it very functional and dependable. There seems to be and art to that.

anyways, I burned up about a half tank today, drove it all over. forwards, backwards, and sideways.

the car is also super light, the scale read 2350 with slightly less than half a tank of gas. those are only accurate to 50, so even with a full tank of gas, it may have read that.

on another note, I'm going to probably end up raising the back up a bit, it does rake forward on flat, level pavement, but it often doesn't appear to have a forward rake, so I'm going to lift the back ever so slightly to get the stance a bit more mean looking.

I'm really liking the way this is going. I also really like the "budget" look of the car. no glossy paint or any flashy things, it looks like a project that wants to be driven.

do it, they are so light, they run so smooth, and they are just all around amazing. my 12A probably needs a rebuild, but it is still quite impressive, especially since it's a junk yard engine.
