refer to the pic of the smaller red strut with the really crappy-ricey looking blue coil over. E21's are coil over in the back rather than having the coil separate like an E30. I would imagine that one could put E21 struts on the back of an E30 if they wanted to easily go low... I have not looked at E30's as closely as E21's though, so I couldn't tell you for sure.
If I misunderstood your question and that was not the answer you were looking for, I apologize.
I can't wait till my fuel lines get here, really hoping that's all that's wrong with the engine.

thank you sir. I really dig that tool set, very handy, the case is about dead though, I need to do something about that.
eld4au6, I have a friend with an audi that is probably less than 1/2 inch from the ground. it's a bit low for my taste as far as how much it scrapes, but he goes everywhere he needs to, my car is a monster truck compared to that, I plan on building a skid plate for the oil pan as well, once that's protected, there isn't much to worry about as far as scraping.Leave a comment:

nice, but I cant imagine driving that around town. Our stock ride hight e21 seems to bottom out on a lot of stuff especially the front lip.Leave a comment:

I'm going to be vague for now, but if you have questions, go ahead and ask. I have to notch out my subframe for the control arms to not hit it anymore... they don't touch at ride height, but it wouldn't take much of a bump to make them hit...
oh yea, and for those who didn't see the other thread for this car, it doesn't run yet... you may be thinking: "why did he lower it when it doesn't even run?", I'll let you in on a fun fact: still waiting for my fuel lines to get here.
anyways, there it is for now, I might bring the back up a wee bit for now... we'll see.
oh, by the way, these shit coilovers were free, it was that or cut springs, I thought this seemed slightly nicer. either way, I would have had the same height.Tags: None
