You had time attack b-caps with nautical star decals?

I will be having the wrap done by a shop here in town, I have friends there.

And I will be keeping the bumpers, I'm just going to be tucking them super close. Gonna get them good and cleaned up, and give them a fresh paint job.

Bumperless is ghay! Unless its a track car. Do you really want to risk someone dinging it and the insurance company totaling the car over nothing? Its been done and they will do it again. Also in some states you need to have bumpers by law, others you need to have them to get insurance. And its looks stupid, get smalls, euros, or the metals.

btw, if you run a 16 valve motor, a front upper strut brace won't fit. and after putting on my 4-1 TT header my Autotech front sway couldnt go back on. I still have an ABD X-brace for the front.

I have a front ABD strut brace if youre interested

*Edit- and i would get the raceland coils too if i were you. I'm on ultra-lows but i got them for a steal after a guy decided to ditch them after 2 weeks on his 'rocco VR6

I'm proud of myself throwing both the vinyl and checkerboard statements out there... I will kinda feel involved in your rad-basket.

If your doing the wrap yourself make sure you get something a little thick. its easier to work with and manipulate. if shop is doing it then nevermind haha.

I have threads left to go even lower. I can tuck the tires and get the pan almost on the ground.

I know you guys mean well, but I'm just not getting into doing a full respray on the car. I want to keep the original paint and the only areas that will need new paint are the cowl and the roof. Also, if I do vinyl on the roof, I can change it later. I'm thinking about doing something like a checkerboard pattern, or something else fun. I think some of you guys underestimate how good a good vinyl application can look. I've seen cars done by this shop in town that you'd swear were painted until you see the edge of the vinyl. And I'm going to be sanding, primering and prepping the roof and cowl, so if I decide to paint them later down the road, I can.

Pedro, that looks pretty good. Do they have the ability to go lower, or are you cranked all the way down?

Great project. Nice Mk1. Keep it as original paintwise.

e30 wheels are a bolt-on as they share the same et25 offset, 4x100 bolt pattern, and 57.1mm hub.

You've got that car so far apart, its really a good time to paint the whole thing. If you don't your gunna always says, damn i shoulda just painted it back then. You could just do an exterior respray with the hood, doors and fenders on. If you go single stage you probably would'nt put you more than a couple hundred outside of your budget and it would be an awsome learning experience.

Awsome project by the way im very jealous of that find!
