Well, my e30s are still under the knife and I kinda want something to putt around in until I finish mine. So let me know if you decide to let it go. (you could always buy it back later, once im driving the 87is)
There's nothing good for sale around WNY. ever.
I would sell it if it was worth anything. It's so close to being presentable and running well again that it's frustrating. I just don't have the time or the money since the student loan company has my soul.
As it is I get to watch out my window as it slowly falls apart.
Dude sorry see the 30 get banged up like that. Keep your head up man. It's still got massive potential. Is the rad support all screwed up too or did it just get the bumper and hood and stuff???
I've been far too lazy to update the past few months. With the end of summer and the beginning of another brutal Buffalo winter almost zero work got done on the car. I buttoned the engine back up, and after a few issues got it running decent.
I sold my daily driver prizm (worst decision ever) because of financial issues, and was dd'ing the e30 for a while. It was awful. Poor heat, rock hard ride, loud, no radio, and just uncomfortable all around.
School started again, and since I'm student teaching I have had absolutely no time to work on it. I had a string of bad luck, involving several overheating issues and a few flat tires, which culminated in a guy pulling out in front of me on my way to school one morning.
I swear that engine is cursed. This was around the end of February, and by that time I was just so burnt out on the car.
Luckily, I got a deal on this 525i touring from a relatively local enthusiast, which has been my daily ever since.
I haven't driven the e30 except to move it from one side of the road to the other. I'm still talking with the guy's insurance company, who seems to think I ran a red light and somehow caused him to pull out of a plaza in front of me. With the amount of work gone into this car and the last one (which was also wrecked ~2 months after I swapped the engine) I might be done with e30s for a while. I'm so burnt out from working on this car and 4 months of student teaching, we'll see what happens this summer.
