After a year of searching, an Alpineweiß story

Dude was this car always serviced at the shop by the jiffy lube, and the Timeout Tavern?

If so I think I may have saw it there in the shop afterhours.

I remember cruising through there after I bought my E34 like a year and a half ago. I saw it up on the lift and I freaked out when I saw the Alpina wheels...wonder if its the same car that I saw

yep it was a shop behind time out tavern there is a Mercedes Benz repair shop and behind that is la paz motors or something like that I can't remember their name.
It was serviced there for 6 years. The mechanic who worked on it (eric) has a alpineweib I 1988 early production date late model with a plastic bumper conversion a stroked m20, black leather interior, and a authentic set of 16inch alpina's that have been refurbished and look minty.
He also has a late 90's (James bond style) 7 series also in alpineweib with an assortment of goodies.

Here is the car up on the lift.
You can see the Mercedes shop directly in front of it and time out tavern is behind them.
Jiffy lube is off the left

I have a set of minty euro grills too...and a question. Are you sure Alpine 2 has a clear? My 89 vert is alpine 2 and it sure seems to be single stage. Did they do it differenly for 8 months like you mentioned?
