An unexpected surprise arrived from Canada today. A complete 325i vert body harness down to the 13 button bits. Honestly wasn't expecting this for another week going on what Canada post usually takes.

Everything to refresh the tranny all in one bag:




Took the impact to the engine tonight. Got the harmonic balancer, exhaust manifolds, and the AC bracket off. Can't take the oil housing off till I get something to contain the oil.

Also put back on the water pump and thermo housing to get it ready to be cleaned. Don't want dirt, etc going places it really shouldn't. ;)





Gotta figure out how to get those studs out....





My reminder to drain the oil, pulled out the dip stick without thinking.

Driveshaft and shift linkage from Autobahn

So yeah I'm stoked. :)

The last things I need are an intake (KA motors most likely), a 3.25-3.46lsd, and a power steering pump. That'll be everything for the driveline.

I would like to point out finding it was a fluke. The yard I got it from didn't even know how I even found out they had it....

Nice build, where in houston are you? Im over in spring, getting close to having my e30 back on the road. I swaped in a m52 running on ms3 with sequential fuel/ign. got it started to find a bad water pump before i can start tuning.

Started tearing down the engine tonight.

Took off the intake to get the harness out to ship to Eric to work his magic.

Figured out how the hell to bolt up the manifold supports on my M50 while I was here:



Took off the thermostat and water pump out to find a nice discovery.







Thermo and water pump has been replaced!
