My characters name is Eightnine, lv30 WAR and planed/ning on going DRK for a main job.

Back in '06 I had a lv70 RDM with various subjobs, quit before I could beat Matt (think I tried twice - shit was hard man). My buddy had a 75MNK that had some SKY gear and was running SEA, he quit before me and gave me his account.

Lol..I would run two accounts at the same time PL'ing his SAM on my RDM (had a rare/ex Gktn that would proc a second swing - dropped off some NM in CoP).... I remember getting into a JP party in the ToAU crawler den (65'ish) on "my" SAM and there was another SAM with the SAME sword, got into that group like three days in a row, good times.

Also used to dual account fish for Angel Skins, and a couple NMs....competing against fucking RMTs. They were the main reason I stopped back in late '06, that and I found the game too slow.

edit; played on ps2, dual accounting was soo damn easy. Hell I could've run 3 easily.

'bah I could reminisce for ages...too bad I don't remember the account info anymore, and can't find any paper trail =/

what are your chars? And JParkr plays?! that's hilarious, I've never heard anyone talk about it. I'm oldschool ffxi but my brother plays big time nowadays and I still have an active toon that he crafts/mules with. All in all me and 4 of my family members play (cousins)

An all r3v LS would be catastrophe lol.

Great little project. One day I'm shooting for a 2002 project but these e21's would be a close second. I too have an unheated garage so winter slows me down a bunch. Still play FFXI? Kinda crazy, I've been on Asura since 2005 lol. I'm in AFKftw but havent played much since early spring.

Went and picked up 5 big boxes on Saturday. Still need to spend at least $1000 on bushings and other little things before I have any real updates.

The engine swap/bumpers/suspension/brakes won't be happening till next spring at this rate...I've decided to spend my hard earned money on something that'll actually see a return not this shit heap...so I won't be ordering anything in the near future. It's also getting cold, and "my" garage ain't heated, or insulated very well.

In the mean time I'll keep driving this gutless, noisy, blown shocked, vibrating, body-rolling, clunking, tractor sounding exhaust, squealing tired, fun to drive, awesome little car on a daily basis.

Maybe I'll r3v it thing into a tree over the winter and I won't have to work on, or throw money at it anymore.:p ...one can dream right?

E21s make good shell tractors. LoL

    Sawzall <3

    Safety first?

    Success

Unfortunately I managed to tweak the frame just enough to make fitting the front subframe impossible....lots and lots of cursing and physical violence ensued. Luckily my mom came out to hear me yelling something along the lines of "fucking waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, bitch FUCK!!" and suggested using a jack to help out. I probably would've thought of it eventually.....

Now I can mock up brake lines and brackets w/o taking the car off the road.

After seeing the interior of the super eta that burned down on a Cal. highway (thread was is on here, forget the name though) I decided to see what an E21 dash would look like w/o any foam covering. Since both of my dashes are in such immaculate condition (read: cracked to shit) I figured why not.

Out came the angle grinder and wire brush.

    Rough idea..

    With vents and cluster installed.

    Finished product

    Dusty

Might use it, might not. E21 clusters use bulbs that shine down into the cluster through little "windows" on the top...so unless I cover the holes above the luster the dash is going to look like a jack-o-lantern. If I do use I'll probably dust it w/ black paint. Or run it unpainted...the metal is closer to tin than steel. Very malleable. So maybe it won't rust...idk

M20 ready for T-belt and WP.

The engine was "rebuilt" last year. Head is nice and clean.

    Cam. has some wear though.

PO made a gasket w/ white "permatex." Getting the VC off was harder than it should've been. Also judging by the underside of the VC this engine had a bad head gasket.

    Block is nice and clean.

    What's missing here?

    Wtf is that?

    really?

Someone must've dropped this doing a valve adjustment...I drove the engine for 100km with this floating around in there.

On a side note I've already spent more on new parts then the initial purchase price of the car. Yay.

Looks better than it did. Gotta order some paint from Paintscratch one of these days....

Bye bye rear bumper. And behold the puss encrusted scar that is left by US bumpers.......fuck.

    Hello rust.:???:

Decided it looks weird w/o something out back, also the trim strip has bolts that go into the trunk, I'd rather not have open holes in the trunk so it went back on.

Need to break these things down this week and fix some mounting tabs, then paint.

Fixed the sun roof crank too. Some knob broke the handle..

    The orifice.

    Fixed.

Look at all my shit Juan!!

Yeah they're E21 recaros that got reupholstered at some point. You'd need adapters to put them into an E30.

On Saturday I put my wheel bearings and shocks back together...well almost. Need to order a few things before I have them completely together.

    Box 'o suspension crap.

My work space. I like working outside.

This is where I finished with suspension and bearings. One front strut top was seized, and 2 rear bearing dust caps were bent outta shape.

This tool made putting the front struts together a pleasure. I love the internet.

Painted the window trim black. Turned okay, for a first time'r. There are a few pin holes of silver where the TRIM paint just wouldn't hold, and some over masked slivers of silver. Oh well....Once it starts flaking off I'll fix all of that, and do a real sanding job instead of just 3M pad rubbing it.

Putting the pop out windows back in was...fun, the passenger's side was being an etra big waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles for me. Advice: Put down painters tape wherever the trim could rub while re-installing them. I didn't and ended up rubbing off the black paint in a few spots. Needless to say I got a little angry after spending so much time masking off the trim. Fucking cars.

The newspaper I used to "mask" off the trim.

I also put my interior back together. Painted the silver trim pieces on the front and rear door cards as well. Interior looks great, so I'm happy with that.

My sad attempt at artsy pictures.

    Yay beer!!

Annnnd, I fucking hate having cheerful people around me while I'm frustrated by cars. Wanted to strangle my buddy soooo badly. I'm a horrible person.
