They're actually a bit of a pita to get in and out of...but much much nicer to sit in than e30 sport seats.


You have to put your hand on the frame rail/black weather-strip, and pivot off it otherwise the thigh bolster is going to get worn down really quickly from constant contact with your ass.

My passengers are going to love it when I tell them how to get in/out of my car, LoL...

I'm on Asura my highest level job is a 30 warrior...lol. Me and my buddy just picked it up again after a ~4 year "break." Lost our high level accounts and millions of gil:(










Sooo....today I spent about 8 hours working on fucking cars, also drove for about an hour and a half, I'm tired:neutral:. ~5hrs dicking around on an e36 328ic....words cannot describe how much I hate e36s...I didn't even get what I wanted off the fucking car, which was the crank, oh well. Scored a ZF and the driveshaft for $150 after core returns.

I brought a weak-ass cheater pipe and fucking bent it trying to get the crank bolt loose..it is reverse-threaded on an m52 like an m42 right (I should look into this)...still have to drive up and return my cores so I'll try again later this week.



Fixed my seat today! Unfortunately I didn't take too many pictures of the process....




Layed on some POR-15, and then painted the "new" frame black.

Put on all the foam and outer leather deals.

For anyone that has stripped seats down I suggest you ditch these little fuckers;


And switch to these bad boys.

Got halfway through swapping in my nice all black "leather" door cards, but I need new outer window seals. So the interior will look like this until I lay my hand's on blunt's package...err a package from blunt.

I'm thinking these bad boys are going to leak a bit, 'eh?


The door cards need to be out to get the window strips out (I think...) anyways, I'd rather not have to take the cards out a week after putting them in. The plastic clip/tabs like to break whenever I change door cards, and my stash of unbroken clips is dwindling just a little bit.

So yesterday I tore down the drivers seat. LoL.

There's a hole on the back mounting point as-well.

This is what the interior looks like right now..



Spent about 20 mins trying to decide what to do about it, then remembered that there is an E21 at the PnP yard with horrible rats nest/piss smelling recaros. Luckily the car hadn't been scrapped yet and I maganged to get the lower metal frame of the seat.

Funny thing is that car's driver's seat had the EXACT same break...ffs people how do you manage to break these seats. Fucking fuck.

But as it turns out the lower frames are interchangeable, so I grabbed the pass frame...buuut it has some damage as well, just not as bad.:-|




I also picked up some shit from the powder coater today. Yes they're red. No it isn't henna. Yes it's better than rusty metal batman.



Things of note;
323 front subframe
323 trailing arms
323 Front Struts
Supersprint headers




Last fall I lucked into a free 323i that had those headers and bilstein sports. The engine had a massive hole in it, and the car was reminiscent of Swiss cheese, but it was free.






My plans for the car are;

Euro bumpers (Probably painted black)
BBS front apron
Zender rear Apron
M20b25 w/ 323 Flywheel + a chip, MAF eventually
Move battery to the trunk
All new suspension sans the springs and bily sports I already have, urethane bushings everywhere.
E12 Master Cylinder
Volvo 240 4 piston calipers with Mini discs up front
E30 Calipers in the rear
Nice wheels and tires (Kosei K1's most likely...or whatever cheap, light wheels I can find)

^Meh, M50s are souless, ugly plastic lumps IMO. Maybe an S5x, but then there's issues of tranny and diff. strength to deal with.
