Just ordered another round of parts. I think i will have everything to get it back on the road. Right now i just want to drive it again even though all the suspension bushes are original and i want to put some fancy shiz on there.
Part of me wants to keep perfecting every little thing, i have big plans for the engine bay, full suspension, etc. but i think it will be better to drive now and work on it in little bits as i go.
More to come soon!Leave a comment:

New rear main seal and more cleaning. The epoxy is factory applied by porsche, it's used other places as well.

I bought a sachs clutch with an aluminum pressure plate. It weighs 3.25 lbs less than the original steel one and all the weight loss is at the OD. Between the pulley and the clutch i have shaved almost 5 lbs off the rotating assembly. :D

The valve covers tend to warp on these engines and mine had so i sanded them flat again on my granite block.

Clean gasket surfaces and all the valves adjusted.

Inspected cam chains and sliders and replaced gaskets, everything is in great shape.

Left bank all buttoned up with new hardware.

Fancy Rothsport 7075 alum pulley replaces the original stamped steel 2 row unit.
