D'oh!!!haha no i mean like the 3m vinyl stuff
cars black underneath with white gloss vinyl.
the stuff has a sticky backing and stretches with heat
Vinyl is definitely more durable. I think that the paint would have to be prepped before that.
How do I get rid of the clearcoat?? Any recommendations?Leave a comment:

what about vinyl on the roof? probably a little more durable then plasticdip and you can peel it off when you want toLeave a comment:

Yep, already looked into some aftermarket solutions! I will want to tighten that up once the car is moving on its own power! I've been spending more time on mye28 as well. I can't stand the outdated forum platform though!!!
Thanks man!
5spd baby :)
Indeed, I really got luck there! Can't wait to restore it.
I've been wanting one ever since I worked on a grey market import several months back. It had the dogleg box... that was a fun car. I couldn't believe how this one landed on my lap!
Thanks!
Any advice on what I should do with the paint? Strip the clearcoat completely and plasti-dip the thing till I can afford a proper respray? Or drive it around with the hideous peel?Leave a comment:
