Day 15 can die in a fire. Shitty day and then car screwed me every way possible. Lost two of the nuts for water pump and one VCG stud, found out I ordered the wrong VCG (obd2 not 1), 2 of my exhaust manifold stud holes have messed up threads, and revshift just shipped today. O ya and my control arms are in my friends car. I put new water pump on kind of, finger thread started all the studs but the 2 in exhaust ports, took off old thermostat housing, and cussed a lot and wanted to hit things. I guess really I screwed myself not the car screwing me though... -
URO is the NAME in metal t-stat housings.
I've used them with no problems.Leave a comment:

Day 13 I pulled the brake booster and pedal box, installed the front subframe, installed the steering rack and steering knuckle, and busted my head open and prob got a concussion. I came home and immediately fell asleep hence the day late post.

Day 14 my normal ride to garage got a job so ya... Almost all my parts came in today so I'm ready to reassemble the motor but no ride to garage. Managed to get a ride to borrow a depinning tool and repinned the obd2 connector that came in the mail today to add a pin to 14 for VSS, which is the difference in obd1 and obd2 x20. Besides that I accomplished nothing today due to no transportation.
I know URO parts lololol What was available for metal thermostat housing....

Day 12 I dropped the exhaust off to have some of the welds that had cracked rewelded and an o2 bung welded in. I also took all the painted stuff to the garage. Besides that I was just hungover and did nothing.
PS I spraypainted outside not in my living room lol.Leave a comment:

In addition to your subframes, your floors and walls are now Heat resistant from overspray!Leave a comment:

There was only one logical thing to do last night. I got really drunk and wire wheeled and painted both subframes, the diff, steering rack, and a control arm. Time to see how badly I painted while hammered.Leave a comment:

Day 11 was a short but productive day. Got the steering knuckle modified and all, which took 1-2 hours lol. Got the old trailing arms off and burned out the subframe bushings. Removed the oil cooler and figured out my electric fan wiring. Removed trans cooler lines and finished removing all the foam from wirewall. Removed a lot of stuff from the engine bay. Helped PimpinWalrus with his e30 some also. Was only working for a few hours today and came home real early around 630 and either going to sleep early, get drunk, or wire wheel and paint a bunch of stuff. Probably one of the first two.

Ya so part of the bearing is siezed in hub and part is still in TA. Rotor was so siezed to hub that the hub came out with the rotor on it and the bearing came apart and part of the bearing still on hub. Jeff and Moosehead have TAs with good bearing in them for me luckily.Leave a comment:

Yeah, that's the hub. The rotor shouldn't be attached to that. The rotor should pull off as it's own piece.Leave a comment:
