Yeah I was thinking leaving it open in the garage if it was brand new and empty. But since this is outside yeah do what Bradnic says

If its stored in your garage it'll probably be fine. Just rapid heating and cooling will cause condensation so I wouldnt be tooooooo worried about it. If anyone can chime in about this I'm kind of curious. Would it be a good idea to leave it open to the trunk to promote better airflow/temperature control? or does it not even matter?

Unfortunately for this winter only it will be outside.

Here is the concern the tank has never had anything in it. So do I put 5 gallons in it? I would think I should fill but I can’t get it to a gas station because it isn’t running.

From having a motorcycle in RI for two years, one of which the bike was stripped down and tank was empty, I wouldn't recommend it. If your garage is well sealed from the elements and heated it should fine though.

z3m diff cover just for style points? I know a few (older) guys who say those covers are a waste unless youre building an all out endurace race car. Not trying to be a dick just trying to potentially "save" you money lol

I would absolutely not leave a diff sitting dry/exposed to the environment without lube in it.

So question for everyone on Differential fluid. Right now the case is empty. I have brand new diff fluid ready to go in, but i am seriously considering going to the MZ3 cover, if I do I probably wont change until the spring. Would it be ok to leave it empty over the winter? All I will be doing is rolling the car out to the driveway to store.

When I mean roll I actually mean roll since there is no drive shaft to drive it out.

I would just hate to put new fluid in just to drain it out later.
