Project Lessmeister: 91 318iS Restomod w/ MTech2 and modern drivetrain
Drove the car down the road a ways to a friends shop to take care of the alignment, while I was there up on the lift I took the opportunity to snap a few upskirt shots.
Just my two cents. Keep the car man. It's amazing. Hands down one of the nicest restorations I've ever seen. This build has been inspirational to a lot of e30 guys.
Sorry I never got the time to stop by and see the car Jordan, but that is one meticulous build that deserves a great home at a well earned price. Good luck with sale Sir. Don't sell yourself short. If someone thinks the asking price is too high, ask them to document their build here on r3v. I'm glad your wife got the first ride for the time sacrificed for the cause.
:)I have a few E30's and can build my own just the way I like. Let the thread shitting be done. IMO this build is second to none and worth every$$ GLWS!

lol, he's been over to check the car out more times than I can count. He could swing the car at the asking price if he wanted to, but the adult in him is telling him not to ;-)

Glad you love the M54, I love the one in my Z3. Its perfect for the streets! I have a super low milage 2.5 liter that I can't wait to put in my 325i. Its only got 25,000 miles on it and I personally put half of those miles on it before the car met an untimely demise.
I took my first passenger out this evening after my work, my wife was given the honor and she so deserves it for all the time I've spent working on this car away from her and the kids.
I let the car warm up a bit before setting off and then took it down the street to the freeway feeder road and took the gloves off. I'd put 8 miles on it thus far and I was confident at this point there were no operational issues and it was safe to drop the hammer.
Drop the hammer I did. Ripped off from a 5mph roll in 1st, squealed loudly into 2nd, and squawked the tires most surprisingly into 3rd. These aren't pansy ass 500 treadware all season 195's either, these are stickky-as-they-come 200 treadware Dunlop Direzza ZII's 225's. This little red E30 GETS IT, and gets it well. The M54b30 is just nothing short of amazing. My god this engine was made for this chassis, I'll never do another S52 swap for a customer again!
Acceleration is so smooth and fast you don't realize you're even doing it. Effortlessly moving up through the cogs riding a fat ass wave of torque. Meanwhile hardly a noise from the engine and exhaust, it just twists that speedometer needle while you look at it dumbfounded! Mind you this is coming from a person that daily drives a twinscrew supercharged 440hp E39!
I love it I love it I love it. I was, believe it or not, genuinely unattached to the car for all I've been through... but now? I would be OK if it didn't leave me.
