Wow. I would be fucking pissed, if I were you. I went through a very, very similar situation, when I had my white cabrio painted. All ended up well, on my end, and I'm sure yours will too!

Wow, I can’t believe “professional” shops do this. Seems pretty common too. Guess this is why I decided to do the work myself. I can learn and I know what was done and how.
If the filler is not rock hard when its supposed to be I scrape it out. Sucks, but its better than having something that will never harden!
Glad to see this build keep chugging!-Nick

The first shop is still in business, but they are co-located (same lot of commercial property) as my place of business. As irritated as I am for a number of reasons it doesn't make sense to shit where I eat.
I've had discussions about the issues I'm having uncovered, and the long and short of it is that nothing can be done this far out particularly when the contact employee that did the entirety of the work is gone.
None of it really matters at the end of the day, live and learn. I tried to save money, it bit me in the ass. Who hasn't learned this way before?
The entire passenger side is reworked and ready for high build primer and subsequent repeat blockings. Body guy is working in the engine bay now, and then will move to the drivers side.
Astute observers will note components to not my car in the background of shots, not to mention another E30. The owner of Imperiale Collision is actually an E30 enthusiast and has a few, including a 1987 M3 that is undergoing a similar concours quality restoration as my car here is. He just finished painting his, and is in the process of reassembling it. Fun fact I took possession of his complete S14 pullout drivetrain to be overhauled and restored in my OCD way which will go towards my bill over there. His car sat in a barn in Maryland for the last 12+ years and the engine was effectively seized. I'm completely rebuilding it for him, along with concours finishing on all components associated with the pull out.
Here is his car (linked from Facebook, hope this works)
