I plan on it but its still on R12.. You don't see the compressor because it's dangling in the engine bay with AC lines still attached/ system charged still.

Buy the m5 drivetrain and swap that in the touring!

I would run the R12 as long as it worked. I was not aware there was an AC compressor that fit the M/S5X series motors or I would have kept R12 in my S50 swapped E30.

Pedals installed. I think this it my least favorite thing to change on 5 speed swaps, glad its done. It's not really a hard job by any means but its just no fun crawling around underneath the dash trying to loosen/ tighten multiple fasteners. Removing the "impossible steering column nut" went fairly well too. Unlike e30 pedal swaps you need to change out the entire pedal box assembly on e34's, that requires removal of the steering column :D. I know, sounds like fun right?..

I bought tons of new parts for the pedal swap from work including new firewall grommets and lines for the clutch master and master feed line. Pretty strait forward install, just remove the factory delete plugs and install the grommets.

Unfortunately I ran out of time.. I hope to drop the S50 in with trans. this next up coming weekend..

                Thanks guys :D

So I snuck out of work an hour early today so I'd have some day light left to get some more work done on the wagon before the weekend. I forgot to mention that I only got the pedals installed yesterday/ didn't have time to install the clutch master and run the lines.

I don't fool around anymore, I learned my lesson the hard way on my e30's 5 speed swap.. buy these parts new or you'll be sorry. (On my e30's 5 speed swap the used clutch feed line was leaking where the nipple enters the master cylinder. Fun times to take it all apart again just to install new parts!

                -New BMW Clutch Feed line
-New Clutch Feed line nipple to Clutch master
                -New Clutch Master
-New Clutch master hard line/ firewall clip (forgot to grab those at the junkyard).

Cut the nipple off and ran the clutch feed line to the brake reservoir.

Line connected to the Clutch Master

And the new hard line along with the clip placed on the factory bracket to keep things tight. (That silver clip at the very bottom of the pic)

Loving this build, especially the touring + color combo. It looks like someone might've swapped in the leather seats? All of these I've seen without wood trim have the vinyl base model interior.

You should see test fit a steering rack in there while the engine is out. It'd be an ambitious project, but a real game-changer for the E34 chassis.

                    Keep it up!

Nice! I have a E34T sitting in my driveway with a busted head gasket M50. This has got me thinking about a swap.

                          Picked up a e34 touring - S50 Swap

Can never go wrong with a S50 Will :D. When in doubt, S50 swap it!!

Thanks ya'll. The paint on this thing is actually pretty beat but I really wanted a wagon with black interior (seems most of these came with tan interior?) so I jumped on this as soon as I saw it. I ran a VIN decode after you mentioned that Boostin' but looks like it came stock with leather seats, maybe they special ordered it or something? I actually hate the wood trim too so glad it doesn't have it.

As for wheels, I picked up a set of M parallel's one hell of a time back for a good deal. Just been sitting on them like the 5 speed swap I snatched at the junkyard. They have good tread Michelin Pilot Super Sports mounted. I knew I'd own a wagon at some point so I've been sitting on a few things.. Also, she came lowered already on H&R/ Bilstein's.

Started working on the transmission today after work. Got the new input shaft seal and shift shaft seal installed. I also installed the new clutch slave cylinder, clutch fork/ pivot pin, and started rebuilding the shiftier linkage.
