Do you know if your shift knob lights up orange or red? Mine lights up red and doesn't match the rest of my int. lights and it piss me off.

mine is red. they are for the newer bmw's so they match the newer bmw's ;)

What did it end up being?

When we tried to bypass the starter relay we blew the curcuit. i should have looked at the damn ETM. Also i changed the starter to another and it still had the same problem, it would spin but wouldnt engage to the flywheel. i but the dust cover on it and ran a seperate ground and it cranked over. i dont know which helped but i dont care.

BTW: Taking off m50 intake manifold > Taking off m20 intake manifold
was like a 10 minute job.
