Put some load on it and some miles before lowering it any further. If you use this as you DD, and you are near me in MD. Get the IS lip then see if you want to lower it anymore. Cause it you will be getting oil pan and new lips monthly, if you lower it alot.

I wouldnt take out the spring pads.

    thanks!!

i was actually thinking of just getting an iS lip, leaving it black, and re-painting the whole car and repaint the rockers black with no sideskirts.

    Suspension!!!!

So i put in my new suspension today, Bilstien sport shocks, H&R race springs, and IE billet aluminum rear shock mounts.

So here are some before pics, with stock suspension:

and here are the goodies i got!

pics of the work i did:

    front spring comparison:

this is the crap that came out of my front strut. That is water with brake dust in it. the shock shaft pretty much fell into the shock body when i wiggled it. completely 100% shot.

    looks much better!

just the front suspension in, still stock in the rear:

    serious height difference.

    rears!

the stock RSM's were completely deteriorated. IE billet aluminum RMS for comparison. The IE RSM's are awesome by the way. I recommend.

    rear springs:

    new shocks w/ RSMs!

after pics!! (it was getting dark)

so next i need some 16" wheels!!

(and painted rockers and iS lip and and and......)

So the ride is AWESOME! totally smooth and tight, no more rattling and clunking at all! i love it!

its funny you mention the back plate filler, because that is exactly what i am planning on getting, great minds think alike!

    New exhaust!

I got an Ansa OEM replacement cat-back exhaust from BMA to replace the old used falling-apart one that i had in there to replace the fart can of the PO.

So anyway here is the exhaust:

hanging up in the garage ready to paint. I painted it to keep if from rusting on the outside at least. And i think a flat black exhaust looks good.

    primered:

    painted black:

The old exhaust literally fell off when i snipped the metal bands holding it in. There were all kinds of loose pieces clanging around inside the muffler.

the new exhaust in!! with this exhaust where it is supposed to be makes the cuts in the rear valence even more blatant and noticeable. It really bugs me but hey, i will take care of that in time.

the exhaust is so quiet compared to what it had sounded like, when i first started the car, i didn't think it had started, because i couldn't hear it.

next up: Bilstien sport shocks, H&R race springs, and IE billet rear shock mounts, so stay tuned!

That is definitely in my plans. Any bodywork will start when it is warmer out.
