the front DB is already painted black. as a matter of fact the PO blacked out everything on the car. painted over the rear lights, emblems, all blinkers.

Hopefully I will have a big update after the weekend, my CSB, guido, emblems were all shipped.

oh and yes I am on honda-tech but not active. Mostly use it for buying/selling. We have a big houston forum called houston-imports that is about 85% hondas. Beautiful rex. What motor? Nice wheels too, I would like those on my E30.

Cool start. Personally id leave the front DB metal to match the rear, and top it off with smoked turns for Abrahams.

well another one for the list.

All of a sudden my trunk lock doesnt unlock or lock the doors and my battery dies after sitting.

I am guessing I have a parrisitc draw somewhere. If anyone reads this, do they know if the check panel should stay on? Mine is on all the time.

Well this is my first real post in here and I figured what better way than to start documenting my progress with my new e30. I am new to bimmer's, formerly a honda and old school toyota guy, I have wanted one for a long time. My pops had a new 3 series in the late 80's and again in about 2001.

I found a good deal and picked up a 1986 325es with around 80k miles or so I have been told. "Tach stopped working last week" Anyone want to run a carfax for me?

I am still really new to the game so as of now I am trying to compile a list of things wrong and get it back to a stock condition.

Things I have already fixed due to priority were:

1. Replacing one low beam and one high beam.
2. Changing Oil
3. Sea Foam

List of issues:
1. Loud Clunking in rear passenger side of car.
2. No radio (deciding if I want old school stock or a new funky cd player[I just dont think newish headunits fit in with these cars])
3. Seats are Fubar - atleast to my standards
4. Headliner is garbage
5. Needs foglights
6. Front airdam is attached with zip ties and angles downwards
7. I want new rims
8. Install vogtland springs that came with car.
9. Idle seems rough, will attempt to troubleshoot
10. On diagnostic computer by sunroof, troubleshoot why certain lights are on
11. do something about exhaust
12. passenger window locks up
13. sunroof doesnt open
14. central doorlocking mechanism is messed up. Turning key in trunk does nothing. Key does nothing in doors either.

15. remove foam spoiler
16. do something with tail lights(painted black)
17. replace gear shifter (home mad short shifter by cutting top of lever off)
18. Looks to have small fluid leak torwards front of the car
19. Cruise doesnt work
20. Wiper fluid resevoir missing cap

Ok I think thats it for now, seems like a ton when worded like that.

List of things done by PO:

1. New front rotors and pads
2. New clutch master and slave cylinders
3. New Tires
4. A/C fixed and workinf
