Nice job on the sheet and diagrams. If I ever go s52, I will for sure look back to this thread! Great work! Engineers ftw!Leave a comment:

I've been spending a lot of time searching in the 24V forum looking at the harness threads. A big thanks to all who have been contributing their diagrams. I took the 318is diagram that's been floating around a bit and made some tweaks, specifically adding some notes from BeirBrenner's "Love your C101" thread. Attached here is my chart so far:
I still need to label the harness and double check all colors against the ETM. I will be placing the C101 plug on the engine harness for a cleaner harness.
Please check this diagram if you would be so kind. You stare at this stuff enough, you begin to miss simple mistakes. This community is very good at looking out for each other so I thought this might be a good place to post it.
Car is a 1991 318is with an OBD1 S52 engine harness.
Thanks a bunch guys.Leave a comment:

All might not approve, but if you want a bit of foam in there to make it a bit plusher, why not go with some foam type sound damping material? I have never used this stuff, but its 1/4th an inch thick and you can layer it up if you want it thicker. It will only help with the higher pitch sounds.
As far as closed/open cell and mold/mildew resistance. I wouldn't let it be a deciding factor in what you choose. Things have to get wet and stay wet for mold to grow.Leave a comment:

The E21 has a new battery which has improved its startup. Aside from the hood unlatching on me yesterday as I had the 85mph speedo pegged, its doing great. It just isn't getting much attention due to the 318 requiring so much effort. It was fun driving it though and at the local bimmer club meeting last night, many ideas for improvement were thrown around. Once this build settles down, I'll start the E21 thread.Leave a comment:

The car looks great. But I think it would look way better with an M Tech II body kit. But that's just me.Leave a comment:

Thank you sir. I was feeling pretty good about it until this afternoon...when I saw my bank account balance :(
It'll be close but I think I can still get it done in the next month or two.
I think the wet sanding this weekend will be theraputic.Leave a comment:
