Chris, it sounds like you have some experience with bodywork.
Yes I have wet the car down to get the gloss on it. It still has spots that need attention... but screw it, I want this thing on the road!!! LolLeave a comment:

Looks awesome so far dude!!! I forgot how sexy those manifolds are!!!!!
Body looks sick too man, take your timing blocking, dont rush too much. I like to bring the car out in the natural light (not fluorescent lights!!!) and spray her down with water, you get a really good sense of what is or inst good enough when its shiny from the h2o. And youd be surprised how much more you can see in natural light vs fluorescents.
Keep it up boss, shes lookin grest so far!Leave a comment:

Yes I couldn't agree more! But I'm on a schedule here LOL! This wont be a show car anyways Haha. I dig what you are saying.OHH, God. Sorry! I'm dense. You've still got to block it... yeah, looks perfect then. Not sure how I didn't process that little bit. You of course know the rule for blocking? (I'm sure you do...) Block it. Fill. Block it again. Fill. When you're at the point where you think you're done, block it twice more.
ALWAYS pays off. I short cutted the blocking on my project/parts car and the area's I paid more attention to and blocked turned out without a doubt better looking.Leave a comment:

Yea, the car was still drying. Plus its a build primer and I didn't need much on the oe panel's. Yes I sprayed it, and I let two buddies have a shot as well. :-)Leave a comment:

Not bad at all. Did you spray the primer? Whoever did should take a bit of note by the lines that they are a bit heavy and overlap didn't quite happen. Be a tad further away and over lap a bit more. I'd say, just from the streaks about 4" back and smooth out "wet edges" on panels by over lapping a TINY bit more. Just enough not to get runs.
Unless of course this was still drying up a bit. Good work as always!Leave a comment:

PRIME TIME

So yea. Today was a good day! I got the car primed(minus skirts and bumpers). Its spring break this week so were out of school the rest of the week and I wont be able to work on it. :( But now we block it out and find the spots I need to finalize.
Well Tara's Focus took a crap so I gotta fix that this week. The ignition cylinder stuck in the on position keeping the starter engaged while she was driving around.. DOHHH!!!
Ok well, I will keep you guys updated! :D
Have a nice day. :-*Leave a comment:

The car is getting very close to primer. I am trying not to be a perfectionist, but If its going black it needs to be straight.
I mounted the passenger sideskirt today and found out that I will probably run a smaller tire up front with less spacer.
Next step is getting the supplies I need to mount the bumpers and prime it and start blocking.
The goal is to have it painted before my wedding, then I can drop the motor in and get it running in april.
Then maybe... Just maybe.... B FEST!!!!
