Always fun to join a new forum and go back to a noobie. about the VW got the tdi for commuter, e30 to be weekend car. I did the timing belt to keep from blowing the head not 30 miles after the belt is done a roller seizes and the belt goes (bad bearing), did it all to torque spec nothing was to tight, long story short a little over a grand later and many many hours I have a Jetta that I am scared to drive because of the cost and royal pain to fix it. But a e30 that I am proud to report runs like a swiss watch. I need to take pics, they usually only get taken for craigslist.
