i went in to try and please my dad. i was a punk ass kid at 18 with no direction. my dad was a badass ex marine and so was his dad. the marines gave me discipline but also allowed me to hone my drug addiction an spiral out of control. it had nothing to do with the marines but rather how messed up i was. i still value what i learned in there and have really great memories of traveling all over the world and banging hundreds of ho's. i wish i could go back and do it all over again sober and clear headed with a dump truck full of condoms.
    semper fi bitches

Whatever my thoughts are on the war. I give MASSIVE, but MASSIVE respect to the armed forces. Were sitting here fucking with our E30s and those guys are fighting and putting their balls and lives on the line for us. MASSIVE respect!!

I was going to join out of highschool, back in 05, but college led me in another direction. I've always been absolutely intrigued by the physical and mental challenges of the military(Water Polo 6 years, Swimming 8 years), and The Marines have always interested me: so much so that I would have joined if it wasn't for my parents.

However, if I had joined, I would literally be getting out now. And I'd say I'm glad I didn't join out of HS. But.. it still intrigues me, for the physical and mental challenge.

    That commercial is old.

The new ones with The Silent Drill platoon are phenomenal. Seeing them in person was a treat.

Not a Marine (or in the military), but have friends in the Navy and Air Force. Major props to all who serve, especially the Marines.
