Yeah, this is old news. I dig Tool, it's no secret they've crafted some of their songs using the fibonacci sequence, golden ratio etc.

I'm a big Tool fan, however, every album has more "ambient noise," which I am not a fan of. I don't need to hear 9 minutes of weird sounds and no rocking between each song.

The latest album has too much of the ethereal sounding BS.

I want to hear you guys ROCK THE FUCK OUT!
Tool isn't that kind of band, sorry to let you down.
Tickets sold out in 30 second here in the bay area and for each venue, Sacramento and San Jose.

Obviously if you think that's a coincidence you're utterly retarded. The lyrics match the sequencing.

Not with Tool. They are obsessed with mathematics.

Yeah you're such a great guy when you accept to be interviewed and then right before the interview starts you dont want to. But instead of calling the interview off, you decide to be a total dick weed to the interviewer who you know to be a huge fan of yours. The guy has two nipples like the rest of us.

I saw them in Spokane in either 2001 or 2002 when I was at Gonzaga.

I also saw them at the Schnitzer in Portland in 2001

Saw them again this past Thursday night at Xcel in St. Paul. This band does not disappoint. This is the 5th time I've seen them live and I cant wait until they're back promoting the next album.

Aenima actually had the most 'segues' (ambient noise BS) (Useful Idiot, Message to Harry Manback, Intermission, Die Eier von Satan, Cesaro Summability, (-) Ions - Total 6)
Lateralus had less (Eon Blue Apocalypse, Mantra, Parabol, Faaip De Oiad - Total 4)
10,000 Days had less again (Lipan Conjuring, Lost Keys and Virginiti Tres - Total 3)

They're getting better at the segues to, they integrate better with the songs before and after, Aenima is hard to listen to from start to finish (without skipping through it) by comparison I can listen to 10,000 Days from go to woe no problems.

They're also a progressive band, so they're not all about 'rocking the fuck out', but it is great when they do.
