    LOL

Such a sweet win and a great experience. Brasil has always had a problematic defense. Congrats to the US regardless for their luck, skill, sweet win over Spain and final. People don't realize that the US is a good team. More than half of those guys play in Europe.

^^you obviously don't know what you're talking about. soccer is very popular even in the states, but you liking The Nanny so much just makes you wierd and any comments you make pointless.

now i agree that anyone can choke up, but the truth is that in competition the tables can turn very easily.. specially if you slow up or start to mess up. that applies to everything whether soccer, F1, footbal or even your work.

When it does, it is only for seconds. Basket ball is a sport dominated by Americans for good reason. Soccer is a sport dominated by no one for good reason. B/c it is played in every country in the world. So as far as you BS sport comment goes, I doubt the rest of the world agrees with your assessment of B-ball vs. Soccer.

And the US didn't choke, a loss like that isn't a choke. They got beat by a better team.
I didnt say soccer didnt involve the most running. Congratulations, they run a lot, WHO THE FUCK CARES? lol. Hockey is non stop, but their shifts are VERY short. I dont really care if the rest of the world agrees with me on my soccer comment, the last I checked I dont live in the rest of the world. The United States agrees with me, thats why reruns of The Nanny get better ratings than Soccer matches.

For the record... If you are up 2 goals in a championship game and you blow the lead, that is a fucking choke job and a half.

i just don't pay attention to those comments. soccer is the most popular sport in the WORLD.. its awesome whoever disagrees is not!! cricket, tennis, volleyball, ping-pong, and probably bball follow in that order.

    anyways..

What other "real" sports do the US compete in on a world stage? When American football makes it to the Olympics, you can speak.
Id imagine basketball is considered a real sport, I think the US is ok at that sport, not too sure, though. So your excuse for the US choking is the fact that they run up and down the field for 90 minutes? Last I checked, the opponents had to do the same thing. If you blow a 2-0 lead in a shitty game where it can easily end 1-0, you CHOKED. Ive seen soccer games, they dont RUN up and down the field for 90 minutes. There are plenty of times when its a very casual pace. I might as well watch a marathon. The game is boring.

Yeah, that shit with Kaka was f*cking gay.

But by all means. This girl wouldn't stop bragging through texts until 10 minutes in the 2nd half. :p

Good experience for a young team. USA did earn some respect today!

The loss to Brazil was worse then the US losing Billy Mays today!
They already know. We got beat by the second best team in the world. We beat the best team in the world last week. I would say the US earned a ton of respect. The goals we scored weren't luck, they were solid goals. We just ran out of gas against a team that can switch positions in a split second, and confuse the best of defenders. Frankly, I am surprised it ended that close. If it wasn't for our defense, it could have been 6-2. Per usual the goals were scored due to space given. Timmy Howard is by far one of the best keepers in the world. He proved it in this tourney, and with Everton this past season. We have some weak points, but at the same time, I think we will get tougher and tougher as Jose gets more playing time. He is so strong, and given experience the US could have a Drogba like striker on our hands.
    Gutted but proud.
