Too much $. The budget here is like $3k.

Here's a different question... Anyone think you can fit a single sport bike into a minivan with all the seats removed?

Agree'd on the D44 in a titan. However, I see a lot of tundras on a daily basis, and none seem to have rust problems. Maybe salted roads? Although we do have a fair share of salt out here.

F the Titan. They have a Dana 44 in the REAR... Too small IMHO, even with the V6. The V8's will destroy it in no time.

Tundra is OK, but lots of problem with rust. Buyer beware.

Really? I just sold my 2000 Club Cab, 4.7L, 5-speed stick, 4WD, 76K. Didn't really have any *real* problems with it. The brakes kinda suck (calipers stick on the sliders), but all in all... Nothing terrible.

Back on topic, I'd say go with the full size truck. A Silverado/Sierra in 2WD with a 4.8/5.3 and a 4L60E will serve you well and not cost any more to maintain than the smaller ones. The extra room would be nice and they tow quite nicely.

Are the 5.2 and 5.8 better?

    I don't even think I want a V8. :dunno

    If I'm getting a full-size, F150 vs Chevy 1500?

Not if your into trail trucks. I have 3 friends with late 90s rangers Lifted like crazy with mudder tires, They work great and fit 3 dirt bikes in the back of each. And my friend with the 3.0 owned it since 40k miles and now just changed the spark plugs for the first time at 215k miles, never misses a beat.

But like others said, look at full sizes, since you want to haul around 2 sport bikes. S10 and Rangers are too small for that and the Dakota is very iffy for 2 bikes back there.

^^ Good trucks, but not for hauling a couple of sport bikes.
