see i don't know much about how the military works. just seems to me that if i saw someone(s) shooting at anyone and I was anywhere near a gun i would be shooting at the "bad guy(s)"

naturally. but like i said... only people who have them are the MPs and gate guards, so someone who has one and isn't supposed to could probably get through a few magazines before an armed response shows up.

that makes more sense. but still that 25 hits each meaning 25+ fired rounds, if it was 50/50. im not military but seems like this should never have happened nun-the-less get this far. i can only be in shock and pray for the families

damn thats really sad. kinda odd that he got over 50 shots off in a military base before someone took him down IMO.

Police fatally shot the shooter, and have identified him as Army Major Malik Madal Hassan. The Associated Press reports Major Hassan was a mental health professional on base.
