Cool thread, I played Hockey on and off my whole life depending on where I lived. I was on the ski team in High School and played Division 3 hockey in college. Took the last 8 years off and just started playing again last October. This picture is during warm ups before a game 2 weeks ago...

Now change the guys 2 times my age to. Girls and that is where I came from. One of my best mates she's 2 times world champion. The cool thing about her is she is pretty good looking and all innocent looking but has the ability to take most guys down.
She used to regularly kick my ass... haha.Leave a comment:

played football all my life. Got to High School and continued to play. Freshman year I sat the bench but enjoyed playing. The end of my freshman season I started powerlifting. Found I was very good at it. Put up 405 on squat as a freshman at 205lbs. I continued to lift so by my sophmore year I was pretty big. Started on Varsity from there on. We went to playoffs all three years I was there and I was the captian my senior year. Played guard all four years and made 1st team for junior and senior years and all CIF my senior year. Ended my senior year putting up 585 on squat, 560 on dead lift and 405 on bench. I made our "1000lb Club" every year of high school.
After High School I went to one of the four or five school thats gave me offers. Found out the coaches were very "upper classman" biased. Meaning they really didnt let freshman play. So I quit after the first season with them. Also found that school, football and a 20 hour a week job really dont mend well together. Came back home and got a full time job and moved out. 8ust this past year I decided to try out for a semi pro football team and made it. I started as a guard until my coach decided he wanted to try me out elsewhere. So for the first time in my life I played Full Back. At 245lbs and a 5.0 second 40, I guess he thought I was up for the job. I guess I was. Running people over became my specialty. I would rather run through you than around you. haha. BUT as a few people here know, my season ended with me blowing out my ankle so I think thats it for me as far as football goes.
I like this thread

Road, Mountain Biking, Sea Kayaking and am learning to Row. Sometimes I feel that working on my E30 qualifies as a sport; I do get sore afterwards.Leave a comment:

I went to the World Champs for Shoukokai Karate when I was 14. Played Baseball for South Africa @ 16. Was also playing 1st team rugby and cricket by 16 in high school. I gave all that up to concentrate on golf. I played Junior Golf for South Africa and was thinking of turning pro. I lost interest and now only do motor sport and hit the gym.Leave a comment:
