Awesome. So now the unions and corporations have free speech, but I don't. That's totally what the 1st amendment is about.

The rules that were struck down prevented huge special interests from giving boatloads of money and drowning out the 'free speech' of you and me. But now that they're free to give as much as they want to whomever they want, the average American citizen has no voice. I could sell everything I own and donate every penny in my account to my favorite candidate, and some big Fortune 500 company could donate 0.000001% of their earnings to the other guy, and my 'free speech' wouldn't count for shit. I'd be outspent a million to one, and guess who's voice would be a million times louder.

What is good about taking away free speech from the American citizens and giving it to the American Unions and Corporations? What about MY right to free speech? Money talks. If they give $100 Million, and I give $100, my free speech is muzzled. Taken away. Stricken. Where is the First Amendment for me and you? Do we get to have our say?

Free speech is a right that everyone is guaranteed, not just those with money. I'd love to see a $1000 cap for everyone; private, public, corporate, union or whatever. That way everyone has their right to free speech and can give to whomever they want, but no one gets more free speech than anyone else.

Ok I am done with you kiddies.

    Someday maybe you will understand.

People making money is not evil, no are corps, they are just better at it.
But according to you the government is evil? When are you going to realize that they are the same fucking thing?! They have the same level of power and influence over your life as the government. The only difference is that you aren't allowed to vote for the leaders. Yay democracy!

Corporations are taxed like living breathing human beings, moreso as a matter of fact. So, why shouldn't they be allowed to spend their money the way they want?

Puerto Ricans can spend their money however they want to and they don't even have to pay taxes.

This country wasn't founded with the intention of granting corporate America power over the government and the lives of citizens.

When are you going to wake up and realize that the corporate interests in this country has just as much or more influence over your life as the government. Corporate America is dangerous. This has nothing to do with free speech.

    ITS FREE SPEECH PERIOD.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This was designed to protect the rights of individual citizens, not to enhance the voice of for-profit corporations and other business interests!

WE THE PEOPLE. Bank of America is NOT a person. Exxon is NOT a person. Merck is NOT a person. They are business interests who should not have a larger voice than an individual citizen. And Unions? Now, the very unions that conservatives feel already have too much power can buy even more!

This is a distortion of the constitutional ideal of government BY the people, FOR the people. The First Amendment was never intended to give more political power to large corporations.

Oh I dunno, maybe because corporations don't have lungs, eyeballs, a heart, a brain, a cock, or a fucking conscience.

yes fuck off your views are counter productive and conflict with those that this country is based on. You need to learn that what you want leads no where good.

Its your right to hold them, and your right to voice them, but its not our fault you fail to understand simple things.

Oh I suggest you watch Beck tomorrow, hes doing some thing good on your hero's. Yeah it will a be a bit scare tactic like but the history you learn might just shake something lose in your brain. Or are you scared of the opposing view point

Well they are people and corps too, so why should one set of rules regarding free speech apply to one group of corps but not another?????
