My dad has an 05 ZHP sedan. It's a great car, the performance bump may not be too large but the cosmetics/handling/interior treatment makes the car an incredible improvement over a ZSP optioned 330i.

Like a shift knob, a front bumper, slightly bigger brakes????

And alcantara interior bits, more aggressive suspension with a more aggressive alignment, a bit shorter gearing, bit hotter cams that shift the powerband up a bit and a raised redline, a more aggressive exhaust, a body kit and 18s with pilot sport 2s, blah blah blah. There was a good deal of difference although there are also some issues associated with them.

when it came out new it was not worth it.

i would say nooo...

coming from an e46's heres a break down of the unpredictable performance you'd get.

vanos seal issues
vanos rattle
zhp 4k rpm power loss (the never ending fix)
an ecu that seems to relearn itself every few days
e-throttle delay.

they jsut don't build them like the use to

In today's market the the costs are similar enough to justify buying a used zhp, but when it came out new it was not worth it.
