Just moved to Vegas and realized I've got to smog check my cars to get them registered. Not too concerned about my E30 but I've also got a little British sports car I know isn't going to pass muster (what little smog gear it had from the factory was removed long before I got it and I'm running a different carb and a straight-through exhaust). As far as I can tell, apparently I can register the LBC as a "classic/hot-rod", but it seems I'll still have to pass some sort of an initial test -- and hook up the odometer, which is a PITA with this kind of car. So my question to those of you who live here in the Silver State is, is this process as difficult as it seems to be as described on the DMV Web site? Any helpful advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.
