Dude this is epic in every sense of the word. I've only read the first 3 pages and I'm hooked. They have already been through so much shit. Fuck, I feel like such as stupid rich pig for wanting to buy another E30. :/

    Thanks for the link.

The most epic adventure thread EVER

Some of you may have seen this on Jalopnik last week...

I just finished reading it in it's entirety. 68 pages and still going, it's the story of a Belgian couple who, on there 100,000km trip around the world, decide to traverse the Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaire) in a 4x4, something that hasn't been done in over 20 years. Keep in mind that of all the world's 3rd-world nations, only 3 have been deemed by the UN to have gone 'backwards' in the last 25 years. DRC is one of them. It's also been classified as the 'Rape capitol of the world'. Yikes.

It's probably the most amazing story I've ever read. The situations, people, danger, frustrations, corruption, poverty and encounters they describe go beyond anything most internet forums can ever dream about. Give yourself a good afternoon to plug through it, you'll be very happy you did. I can't recommend this highly enough:
