Make a road trip out of it.

It's 522 miles from San Jose to Vegas so about 1050 round trip. Divide that by 25 which is about what your highway mpg is if you take your e30, you get 42 gallons of gas. Multiply 42 by 3.50 which is around what I paid today for a gallon of gas, you get 147 bucks. If there are 3 people you get about 50 bucks per person for your transportation. Stay in a hotel that is off the strip and you will save yourself money. You can go for pretty cheap.

If you absolutely need to fly then try Allegiant Airlines. They offer cheap flights to Vegas from many airports.

We caught the greyhound back to LA after being up for 36 hours straight, cost us $42 :D

I want to go to Vegas with a couple friends in the last weekend of Feb. Anyone know the best way? The tix seem expensive like $330 for round trip plus 100-150 for hotel. Anyone have ideas? I am leaving from san jose airport and this will be my first time there. I have heard of people finding great packages but I just can't seem to find them.
