Cheap and good. Not the best, but better then/as good as most.

I'm currently building a flashlight using one of these:

One other thing, pretty much all LED flashlights come with the same or similar LED. A lot of them are CREE XR-E's, so you really aren't getting much more by spending more money. Cheap is sometimes good.
Sure i could have gone your direction it's not a secret that the components of things like this are next to nothing compared to a finished product. Nothing I can build will have the quality and finish of what I bought. This is exactly what I was looking for and its well worth what I paid .

Shit if the thread is something you've seen before, don't click on it. :hitler:

I think the reason is so that all the same information is in one thread and not 20 different ones. How many times have you read something and went back to look for the info needing to go thru 20 different threads that all pretty much say the same thing but have little bits of different info.

Its not quite as powerful as what you want but its a still a great little flashlight.

Shop MAGLITE® Flashlights and lifestyle products. Learn why our innovative, rugged, and reliable flashlights have made us the industry leader since 1979.

Fairly small, well built, and bright, and cheap ~$22. My dad has an the exact same flashlight but with an incandescent bulb and my led model blows it out of the water. Great flashlight for inspecting cars (what I originally bought it for).
