I'm pretty sure what you're looking for is called an "arc tank light"

ya, i guess you`re right. you can find some screamin deals on 6p`s on ebay. i just don`t think they are very bright stock, and when you add the cost of the light, plus the cost of a drop in head id rather have something from HDS systems. at least as much output, same run time, and all on one cell rather than two.I have about 4 that I can find at any given time (1 have with me all the time, tool bag for each truck and the g/f she keeps by the main door) I have more of them but I dont really know where they all are.
Surefire 6p LED's not lame nor expensive, (less than 50 new on ebay) very handy, long battery life for light out put, VERY WELL MADE.

MtechNick, i sent ya a PM.
and Farbin Kaiber is right, streamlight LED`s are a good value. rechargeable batteries are nice too. one of our techs has a red aluminum stinger that he has beat on for years.Leave a comment:

Find a Streamlight LED.
I own this and swear by it. I replaced an older non LED Stinger with this, and I've been happier than I could put into words here, I use this thing everywhere.Leave a comment:

Sorry I was vague in my first post. I'm lookin for something between 75-150 prefer under the 100 mark. Cell type and quantity I'm not sure of. Basicly like I said I want to strap it to my roll bar on my jeep. Something the size of the classic maglight but with as much output as possible in the 100 dollar (+-) rangeLeave a comment:

give me a price range, desired cell type/quantity, and output and ill point you in the right direction. inexpensive is extremely relative...

You gotta give a budget range. For 150 you can buy one of the beat flashlights I ever have come across. The thrunite catapult v3.
This will replace your headlights.Leave a comment:
