Might be different here in Aus compared to US,
When you list something here it states you MUST select at least one of the two following payment methods, after those two there are other payment methods you can accept but it is compulsory to select one of the following 2.
1 Paypal
2 Merchant account for credit card payments.
A "merchant account" is like ecommerce and here in Aus to have a website and or ecommerce facility it requires you to be a registered business with an ABN or ACN. (not sure of US equivalent but registered business/company)
So for the average joe blo like me selling random odds and sods, I am not a registered business and therefor cannot select "Merchant Account" and must select Paypal as an accepted payment method or you cannot list your item.
Hope that makes sense
Sorry for OT,
OP, link to the listing (which I am sure would have had pics) and pic the seller sent back?Leave a comment:

firstly I have no reason to take Ross's side in this matter. I don't know the guy, he can choke on a fishbone for all I careGuys, again sorry for cutting in on your thread. I have bought this brand of shoes for 3 or more years now (only on Ebay since they are discontinued). Probably have owned 20 or more pairs total and have about 8 or 9 now. They are the only kind I've found that don't hurt my feet while balling. I can tell the difference between a pair of shoes that are new, or even just "worn a few times". These ones Ross tried to pass off on me are way used. If they were anywhere near new I would have gladly just added them to my working collection and not said anything. But dude tried to rip me off, which sucks. Then he's been trying to lie about it. Like saying they were new when he put them in the box. Not just new, but brand new! And then accused me off wearing them around to dirty them up. Stupid shit. Why? I don't know. I asked for a full refund and I'd send them back, or a partial (1/2) refund since they were way less than new. Dude says no, they were new, what are you talking about. Just straight LYING. WTF? Why man. Just be fair with me and I will be fair with you. Don't fuck me over or I will fuck you over. Just like anyone would be.
did you take pictures/video of yourself opening the package? a picture dated on the day you received them? If not, then i'm afraid you don't have much to stand on here. If you don't have proof that the shoes ARRIVED in poor condition then it is just your word (3 days later, apparently) that they were messed up.
however, If mr. Sullivan is cheating you and sent you some shitty shoes, That would be pretty lameLeave a comment:

Sorry, should have been clearer,
As a non business private seller you have to accept paypal,
You must select "Paypal" or "Merchant seller" credit card option.Leave a comment:

This is not true at all, I bought a style 19 off a guy on eBay that did not accept paypal at all, strictly credit card.Maybe in from your experience but not from mine.
I got fucked, lets say in this case I got one shoe and not two and Paypal did NOTHING. After 60 days or some ridiculous amount of time I got an email saying "thank you, your issue has been resolved" lol
Like fuck it had. And its only worse nowadays with ebay and paypal making so much $$, they dont give a shit, why it DISGUSTS me that as a seller you must accept paypal as a payment type so they can then take MORE money off you.
I say all disputes should be resolved in UFC style :)Leave a comment:

If your such an expert on this one type of shoe, have to stopped to think that maybe it would feel different since it is coming from the complete opposite side of the United States? We have way more humidity over here.Leave a comment:
