2. i never said a thing about a velodrome. dont put words in my box!haha if u ride a fixie on the street the point is keeping your momentum. ie braking as little as possible. u clearly dont ride in cities
and if u ride and felt like i did, and almost wanted to hang up your fixie cause all these tight jean hipsters started riding their flashy bikes, then ur a real fixed gear rider. but theres a fine line between ridin like an ass and a "real" rider. (really no such thing as a "real" rider, i know that. its my opinion. thats all) some ppl know how to stay on the respectful side of it. cause its a fact that most cars dont know how to react with bicycles on the road. if your an ass you only increase your chances of being hit. i love how all these ppl who dont know me are coming to conclusions about me.haha and theyre not even in the scene so they dont understand.
so, you did it before it was cool?

You're better than me. I thank you for taking your precious time to respond to my petty comment.

I will say skitching on pickups always gets evil looks but there is a difference in riding with a purpose to get to your destination and being an ass. ive had friends pulled over by cops because ppl have called in their bike and wheel colors and their riding habits. they say we get complaints about u. ive never done that. im crazy but still respectful. believe what u want but your mad cause im going faster than your gas guzzler.hehe j/k

ive had 2 ppl get hit by cars trying to keep up with me. not bragging about it and its not a good thing. but they were both about 30yards behind me cause they couldnt keep up, didnt have the street smarts to look both ways before running the same red light. and both times i pointed to the direction i saw the car down the road on. if u dont ride to shred those bikes your a poser. and if your not going faster than traffic your defeating the purpose of the bike. f backwards circles. i can sometimes do em. but when someone has a fixie and theyre waiting at a light with their feet on the ground, theyre a clown

I called rollerblades "fruitboots", because again, that's what everyone around here used to call them, and it sounds funny.
I made a joke. He tried to make it sound like skateboarders are better and have more respect than everyone else. I can't fucking STAND that high-n-mighty attitude from skaters. Hopefully, that isn't the case with you, Delta.
It is what is is Josh. Skateboarders took shit so rollerbladers and other off shoots could exist. Same as snowbaorders. They took shit for mini skis and snow skates, and snow bikes... there are those that blazed a trail and those that followed. I can't help it if my passion blazed the trail, I most certainly had nothing to do with it's popularity, I just never left.

more difficulty in keeping a board under you, not attached to your feet...
also, I have a whole lifetime of bias against "fruitboot's" lol...I ain't changin nao.
but the attached to the feet part making it easier is backwards to me. on a skateboard u can run off on your feet. aka not fully commit. on blades youre committing every time and cant affoard to be off balance, not 100% committed or "not want to land". you will end up geting rocked.
I grew up snowboarding. we made fun of skiers cause they go side to side, look silly and look even SILLIER when they fall and have to climb back up the mountain cause their skis fell off for pretection.haha snowboards dont pop off so falling can be more gentle. shit. falling is supposed to hurt and be uncomfortable. thats why u try harder to land. to me its a similar concept.
u gotta start off with whole hearted intentions of landing.
not kicking your board out and saying, ooh i hit a rock. theres no risk when u fall that way. its a lot harder falling down a set of stairs with blades then it is a skateboard. and mind u we dont do rails we can just tap and land on the ground. im talking kinkers and 20+ stair rails where if u dont make it your on stairs still homie!
Look ppl, i know blading is hated on as it has been since it came out. a lot of it has to do with the attitude the early bladers had. weve been trying to fix this forever. i guess ppl will have to open up to trying something new first. but like i said i used to skateboard before. maybe thats the only reason i respect both.
many ppl are to ignorant towards things of difficulty. its like saying I hate salmon and youve never tried it. you just dont knowLast edited by ROLLingKING; 10-02-2011, 03:20 PM.
