They do race prep and restoration and all kinds of stuff. They once restored one of the aluminum Ford Falcon factory rally cars.1990 325is "the rat"/ E30 Warsteiner tribute racecar/1985 325e "faded Glory"/ 1968 Chevy II Nova "the baby"/ 2001 525i 5spd purchased May 2013 with 16k miles. Plus other junk that annoys the neighbors.

I see the car was rebuilt w/ rivet on gta type flares.....Im sure he saved a little$$$ doing that...good to see it back.....gorgeous lil beast.....
(so the Wetson's car, driven by HoRst Kwech was sponsored by Wetsons of course.....they were the first fast food burger chain on the east coast. The family (Wetanson) had a son that had the race bug. He was a damn good driver w/ lotsa coin , and raced alot of Porsche based cars......911, spyders etc. Years later the dude opens Dallas BBQ....makes more millions, and to this day vintage races over a million dollars in historic rides....ferrari, lotus, Porsche astons,....etc etc...He is always at Lime Rock...
anyhew...
that alfa ran some badass races against peter brocks/BRE Datsun 510.....and once had a victory taken away due to a protest by BRE.... due to a larger than allowed fuel cell....motha fooka.Last edited by JRKOUPE; 09-28-2013, 09:11 AM.I love sitting down and just driving!

Here are a few that I shot back in 2010
A rare sight, 3 US spec '69 GTVs. There were actually 6 of them at the show, the most anyone at the show could remember ever seeing in one place. The other three cars were owned by the same guy and they bailed early. Yes, the one with Panasports is mine.
The other three '69s
A 101 series Sprint. Mine might look this nice some day

I knew a great old guy with a 69 GTV back in the day in Seattle. I believe he was a machinist for Boeing. Every summer, he would take off work for a month to go to Indianapolis as a team machinist. I think he worked on the big roadsters in the 50s through the 60s and then into more modern cars. He was probably in his 70s when I met him and he was still going every year.
He had a stock (maybe..?) 69 1750, red, in perfect condition, and man could he drive that car. Smooth and fast. Miss that guy.
