I'm really missing my '69 US spec 1750 GTV. They made 640 of them.

These straight 8 engines are impressive. My first impression was it was similar to hearing a built 454 with one long 3" straight pipe. Monstrous. And then add a screaming supercharger into the mix!
I was sitting on a hill above the highway in NW Montana once when a private tour of historic Alfas bellowed by on their way to Glacier National Park. I think most of them started in CA, up to Seattle to pick up Greg Whitten etc, then over to Glacier Park and Yellowstone Park. Probably 20 cars.
WUT a noise when they went by! Gawd.

You thought blacked out wheels was a new look..?
The road cars were just race cars with new skin...often rebodied and sold to customers after they had been raced. This is an 8C 2300 Spider by Zagato. Those relationships go way back. Note Ferrari shields on flanks above - he was the team manager for the Alfa racing dept.
