See, you can buy american things online. Also. when you save your $20 or whatever, you can take that money and spend it on other things. Just because you don't spend it all at one place doesn't that money isn't going to get spent.

Should change your name to Captain Canada. If you'd come down off your fucking high horse every now and then, you might be able to see that your country's future looks a hell'uva lot like ours. We go in the shitter and your not far behind.

Oh by the way, your welcome for helping stimulate your economy with nafta and other such polices. Why doesn't Canada grow some balls, flick-off the queen (of England) and stop sucking on our fucking tit, so they can make their own way in the world?

You don't have to tell me not to buy from China. Believe me, I do anything and everything that I can to try and buy products made in the USA. Often times, in this country, you cannot find the simplest of things to buy from the US.

Also, I live in a shitty town with 5 super wal-marts, a sams club, target... nothing but huge megastores. I can not literally think of one "home-grown" store around here (other than restaurants, which I am ALWAYS eating at, and even most of those are Sysco). I hate my area that I live in, but what am I supposed to do.. drive 20-25 miles to a small business just so I can *hope* that they have American made products? (Which, by the way.. NEVER fucking happens. You will find more stuff made in USA/Italy/Germany at my local wal-mart.)

I bought an American-Made tool set by Craftsman from Sears. So now tell me.. am I supposed to feel good because I supported Craftsman, or that I supported Sears? Both have huge fucking corporate headquarters in China.

Seriously, don't think so high and mighty of yourself because you go to your "local hardware store" because that kind of thinking is self-appreciating mumbo-jumbo.

The fact of the matter is.. if you live in a "first world" country, you are nothing more than a money filter for these huge companies. You think they care how and where you spend your money? I guarantee you own more "chinese" products than American/Canadian (and I know you do, we all do.)

If you want to take it so seriously though.. go ahead and throw out anything that is made in another country other than your own.

Good luck replying back on your Canadian-made computer/keyboard/mouse combo that you bought at Eh-Mart.

Maybe it's different in Canada, or maybe you don't get all kind of free shipping like we do in the states. I use Amazon prime (free for students) and I get free 2 day shipping.

If I see something in a store that I like, I will typically look it up on the spot with my phone and see how much cheaper I can get it for. If it's not a big loss, or I won't get slammed with taxes, I will get it in the store. If not, I will take 20 minutes shopping around and reading reviews.

It's not being cheap, it's being a smart consumer.

Well, it makes sense to shop around for a lot of electronics gear. I'd rather pay $3 for an HDMI cable than $25 at Best Buy or Walmart.

I'm not going to shop for the best price on orange juice or something like that.

Where do you not get Levi's for 30 bucks? Paying full price for those jeans is ridiculous.

Inside my local mall there is a "discount store" with Levi's and other stuff.
    514's for $28.95

Limited sizes of course. Probably overstock from department stores or MINOR imperfections.

I've bought Levi's for ~$18 at a Ross or Marshall's before once or twice when accompanying my sister shipping in the past also.

Yeah, I kind of do this for most things except clothing.

Levi's take the portion of my closet for jeans, but I'd never pay MSRP ~$49 for a pair.
I always go to discount places for them which are almost always sub $30.

I buy most of my stuff online and i try to make sure that the seller is at least on the states. I don't have time during the week to drive around all over fuck.

I wouldn't call what you're doing smart, it's called being cheap.
