I've seen bits and pieces in the past and always enjoyed it, don't know why I've never sat down and watched the entire series until now.

I love the animation from the era, and finding myself watching more of the older anime these days. Of course Evangelion is still one of my most favorite series.

Thanks for the compliments almostacrayon. But one of the reasons I stopped drawing was when I went to some of the art contests I met some people, in my opinion were amazing artists. They drew better than I ever could. But their style was not well received. I was always told I had a likable art style. I tried adapting my art, so I could improve but it wasn't working well on my own.

I was accepted into an Art Institute in Pittsburg but I went into the military to pay for it. I Liked the military too much and gave up on art. I don't think I was bad, but I know I wasn't good enough to make a living out of it.

I think all four of the pictures you posted are awesome. You have talent, keep at it. When you doodle, the style of your doodles is where to start for an art style.

Never heard of "Perfect Hair" is it an anime?

The last time I drew any of these pictures is right before the summer of 1999. If you are wondering why some of the characters have really baggy pants, it's because I was really into JNCO's back then. This is all I can find, sorry none of it is any of completed stuff but like I said I usually gave it away. A lot of kids were in to DBZ then. For a while a lot of my paintings hung in their rooms. I am sure, they have all been thrown away by now.
Love them all!! If these are your 'rejects' your finished good ones must be next level!!

I give most of mine away too but, I do keep records of progress and final shots before I send them on their way so I remember what I've drawn.
I wish I could draw my own originals but I'm still having problems coming up with ideas for character designs. I can only copy what I've seen in shows...

I think I'm most proud of these three drawings.

I will bring "Ghost in the Shell". I just want to know because this would be a deal breaker. Would be watching dubbed? Or subbed?

"Tsukaima no Zero"/"Familiar of Zero" was an anime I enjoyed. I thought the first two season were really good, season three was out there but wasn't bad, and season F finished it good. It still leaves you wondering when it is over but overall it is good. It is based of a light novel, the story is different in the anime but overall it was a good series in my opinion. The last episode of season two is awesome.

"Haganai" was funny, I liked that too. There are two seasons. Both of them were good in my opinion. I liked "Baka no Test", it has some slow moment but the funny moment out weigh the bad. Something to check out if you like funny. But it isn't for everybody.

As for drawing anime/manga. I use to back in high school. After that, life got in the way and I never really drew much other than doodles here and there. I use to be a pretty good artist, I won a couple of honorable mentions at some contests but nothing really great. And I never pursued it.
