It's definitely different than it was back then, but we shouldn't blame the artists for it. In all honesty, it's not their fault. It's ours. Mainstream artists wouldn't dare make music for themselfs. They make music for the listeners, since that's how they make their money.

Also, there's nothing wrong with opening your mind to different kinds of music. Gives me a different perspective on things every now and then.
