I'm a big hockey fan. As far as this year goes I want the bruins and pens to lose in the 1st round. In fact the only team in the east I like is Florida.

I'm a caps fan who actually plays hockey regularly and understands the game (not typical for dc fair-weather sports fans.) We're playing the defending champs in the first round, but I think we'll come out of it in 6 games. We beat them 3/4 times this season, and their goaltending has been iffy. Ovechkin is in old form and has 50 pts in 37 playoff games, number one center backstrom is back, and Alex Semin is piling up points now since he knows that he'll be traded if he doesn't perform... Plus this is the first year in recent history that we've been a lower seed. I think being the under-dog will help us due to less expectations. My biggest concerns are the constant line swapping (not a fan of the new coach,) and both of our goalies are injured leaving it up to a rookie and a career AHL player.
I'm more of a wings fan on the west, but I hope your coyotes do well, it would be really great to see Doan finally reach that goal.
I haven't seen too many east coast games but I did end up watching a caps game and the sea of red at their rink is crazyyy. I don't really like boston that much and hope you guys pass them first round.

2012 NHL Playoffs
What are your predictions/thoughts about your team ?
I am getting all antsy waiting to watch the yotes-hawks game tonight. I think we will be able to take the series and get into the 2nd round.
