Sell the Rover, E36 M3 and the E46.

Get the E28 to a respectable place, and have the e24 stay as a project car/garage queen.

Use the proceeds from above sale to get a good running/maintained E30 iX, to be driven all inclement weather.

I would make e28 perfect and sell everything else. Imagine how much you can save every month if you have just one nice reliable running daily.

I've been doing it and that makes me save up so much more because I only do maintenance to keep it running smoothly(no time to do anything else really, I can't afford not being able to drive my car at this point).

Once you save some $$$ you'll have more options to choose, from having a nicer car, start an installment savings account, mutual fund, or invest on something else you believe in.

    1978 633CSi - Sell.
1985 535i - Must keep because you're "Slammin' E28 Guy" Make it into something nice to daily with money from selling other cars.
1993 Rover LWB - Winter Car.
    1995 M3 - Sell
    2003 330 - Sell

M60 the E30 and do mad skids.

I am the same though. I have a falling apart E30 323i for daily duties.

An E30 ///M 323i that needs a little panel work sitting in my shed. Hopefully be restoring and turning into a tarmac rally car.

A series 2 320i that is getting a Holden 5.0 and T5 transmission. Drift car.

And an AE86 that's in a million pieces. Was originally meant to be a drift car but now I want to use it for weekends/late night and have the V8 E30 for drifting.

At the start of the year, I had 3 more E30's but I've let them go. Felt good.

Keep ALL cars. Buy 5 more cars. Open Barnyard dealership. Profit.

I maxed out at 3...ish but I'm back down to 2 + shared lemons car now. Wh33lhop has to talk me down sometimes.

Get rid of the e24, M3. Keep rover and 330i. 535i project. Seems pretty reasonable.

Agreed with what most people have said. I used to have a pile of Nissan's and BMWs from age 20 until about 25... after I got married, I came down to one car for the wife and one for me. I ended up saving a lot of money, although I always want more cars/dream about building cars. Being young and financially responsible will set you up to have a better car hobby later on. Erase debt, simplify, and enjoy the results!

Been there, done that. Then I realized I didn't need to ball so hard. By ball so hard, I mean slowly work into debt and for the most part I had my expenses under control. It's not worth it. I'm pretty sure my neighbors I didn't speak to thought I was a drug dealer. Especially when I was storing a matte black m coupe when I first moved into my house, along with my own, plus other toys. And I lived alone... then even when I had roommates I had other flashy cars that got noticed. I could still take up the driveway with all of my vehicles. Then I got smart, erased all debt and had to let some cars I really loved go, even if they were paid off. Started over with what I call a beater but it's a decently clean E30. It does help to have an SO with a Honda.

Sell all but two! I'm with everyone else, you'll feel much better with worrying about less than half of your current fleet. I realize you have seasons and snow. Selling the M3 is a step in the right direction. Get rid of "projects" you see hanging around, unless you have time to focus on it. Clean up the cars you're going to sell, take nice pictures, and sell them off for cash and don't blow that money on other car stuff for awhile. If you're moving into your own place (renting? buying?) a house is a huge money pit in itself.

Efficiency is priority #1, because waste is a thief.

    EDIT:

I think most of us go through this in some way or another. It's hard to say no. When I was 18 I had 4 E30s... stored on my parent's side yard. Only 1 was able to move under it's own power. They were all pretty incredible deals by today's standards. Just engine problems, all were straight, clean, zero rust.

Sure, you have plans and ambitions for cars, but it's rare that when you're young you actually follow through with that many projects. I picked all but 1 of them up for less than $500, one even $100. Before I moved out I sold them all but one. They are now all or were driving around Arizona. I took in 4 e30s, and 3 went on to have second chances/lives. DON'T CALL ME A HERO, I JUST DID MY JOB.
