DD (07 Focus) has been driving me crazy with it's road noise!
Freaking thing is so noisy I've resorted to wearing ear plugs when driving longer than 10-15 minutes. The car is totally stock and the exhaust is still fine, but the noise of everything was too much.

Last weekend I got a couple cans of "sound deadner". they were the rubberized type and I sprayed it all under the car (as much as I could given that I only had some jack stands to use) I also made sure to spray in the wheel wells too. I also used this tub of undercarriage goop that was also rubberized under the hood. The hood is noticeably heavier now too

As a result the car is noticeably quieter, especially at speeds around 40-50mph. Sure she ain't no Lincoln Continential, but she'll do for DD use.

Gonna tint the windows now, kinda lookin forward to doing this now that the car is a bit quieter :)

How are your tires and alignment?

Random $45 charge on my checking account from a Target in New York. Lucky I caught it before the big one went through. Had to go to an ATM and purposefully enter a bad pin number until the card locked because I couldn't get ahold of my bank at lunch time.

Oh well, already sent in the dispute papers and will have the money back quick. I love my credit union. Had it all resolved within 30 minutes and never had to show my face at the bank.

Tires are newer Continental DWS's. Nearly new and handle well. (car only has 80k miles)
Car is aligned and straight as an arrow. No vibrations, but the small amount of road noise the car had before, has been decreased.

When under the car, there was a lot of exposed metal (no previous sound deadner applied before, aside from a few thick patches from the factory).

Nice way of clearing up the bank issue. I would have never thought of locking up your account that way.

I've always only had one car, so modifications were on a time crunch.

Today I finally was able to pull myself out of that mindset. Began my downpipe install, got about 2 hours in and decided I had enough for the day. Consequently, now that I haven't turned wrenches on cars for money in 2 years, I enjoy it on my own car again.
