I would tell you to try and fight it by mail but that involves writing and you would probably fuck that up and write one big run on sentence and then the judge would be like lolcantwrite and make you pay the ticket anyway then your insurance company would find out and be like damn then they would raise your rates and you would be like damn I should of just fixed my car.Leave a comment:

if you had trouble reading that sentence you should end your life soon
It usually won't show up until the following insurance year
What do you mean? lol. I'm fine with paying the ticket, I'm asking if there's a way I can simply get a defective equipment ticket, which wouldn't be points. I don't know how to handle tickets out of state especially when I don't have to appear in court and I can't talk to a prosecutor to get a lesser charge.Leave a comment:

pay the fine, as long as it doesn't put points on your license it's no big deal.
christ. what would you have done without the internet?Leave a comment:

States also have violations for vehicle equipment not working right either, so be glad you didn't get both.Leave a comment:

My speedo works fine at freezing temps. Fix your car.
And learn how to write. The weather was really terrible and the temperatures were really cold, when I started my E30 up the morning after it snowed all night and was real cold, my speedo didn't work, it was frozen or when it wasn't frozen it was giving me false readings.Leave a comment:

Out of State speeding ticket
Went up to Vermont to snowboard this weekend, 6 hour drive from Jersey. The weather was really terrible and the temperatures were really cold, when I started my E30 up the morning after it snowed all night and was real cold, my speedo didn't work, it was frozen or when it wasn't frozen it was giving me false readings. Anyway I had a general idea of how fast I was going based on RPM's, so I thought.
Got pulled over in a 45 doing 60mph before my car was even fully warmed up, and I had tried to explain to the officer that my cluster broke, but to no avail. This is my first speeding ticket because I honestly never speed, there were no cars on the road either to gauge if I was going too fast or too slow.
Shitty thing is that my speedo worked right after I received the ticket lol.
