    Adrian Peterson

He finished 9 yards short of the NFL record. What a bitch! If they didnt have to win the game to get to the playoffs I bet they woulda kept running him into OT (vs. kicking for the win) to get him the record.
How weird would it have been if he broke the record and the vikings lost and didnt even make the playoffs.

I guess there is always next year.

He started off relatively slow too. 4 of his first 5 games were under 90 yards rushing. Still a very impressive season considering he's coming back from a torn ACL.

I think he deserves Comeback Player of the Year over Peyton Manning.

I think foot ball should have one player on each team with a bat. And, all the players are required to take steroids, lots of steroids.

he should have paid the kicker to throw the kick to get the record in OT cause nobody remembers 2nd place.

yes, it was awesome. i am just glad they beat the damn packers, can't stand that arrogant rodgers douche. its like, dude, you make a lot of money. get your teeth fixed. even better, it knocks chicago out of the playoffs with a 10-6 record. can't stand them either.

petersen had an awesome year, but i don't think anything can top what manning did this year. at the beginning of the season, denver was predicted to have the toughest schedule in the league. i am not a denver or a manning fan, but you gotta have a lot of respect for what they have accomplished.

Don't get me wrong, Manning is an excellent quarterback and to miss a whole year and do what he did after neck surgery is incredible, but I think for a running back to come back from something as serious as an ACL and MCL tear and come close to beating the season rushing record AND carry the Vikings to a spot in the playoffs is just as impressive.

                    +1

Manning is great, his story is great, but he inherited a team that went to the playoffs the year before with essentially a big RB playing QB the whole year. Peterson IS the Vikings. Ponder was a joke for 95% of the season, as evidenced by the fact they averaged more yards per run than they did per pass completion

W/O Manning the Broncos still probably win 6-7 games. W/O Peterson the Vikings win maybe 3-4.
